Leonardo van den Berg (1976) -Founder of het BOOTHUIS. Leonardo van den Berg (1976) founder of the BOATHOUSE. Raised in the Gooi and from childhood spent a lot of time on the LoosdrechtsePlassen. At a young age Leonardo already sailed with his parents' motorboat (father: former 2nd officer Merchant Navy) and himself with the Optimist. Curiosity, fascination and an insatiable hunger to learn more about boats ultimately led Leonardo to turn his hobby into his job some 20 years ago.

Boats that age beautifully

Meanwhile, Leonardo has an impressive track record with leading shipyards and brokers at home and abroad. In 2019 he founded the BOOTHUIS, a company with a focus on personal attention and “boats that age beautifully”. Leonardo about this choice: “I like to sell what I really like. Acting is not my style; I try to stay close to myself ”
